How could it be that there is a blessing of a new life that can’t sustain itself needing the warmth, tender loving care and yet isn’t blessed with such? Oh what agony! How are they going to cope? How can they make sense of such a terrible thing that happened? Nine, Seven and Three… Ah such young minds! O dear Lord, my heart is grief stricken. O Lord! Would you watch over them? Death, its such a fierce, vicious, ruthless reality! One moment you’re here and another… gone… to become dust. Who can fill the void…? Who can fulfill the longing…? Why did this happen…?
I’m reminded of the very first lives and the tragedy they incurred as a result of their disobedience – Death. It was their own doing… their inability, nay irreverence, that brought upon this consequence; seemingly savage but was neither a surprise nor a secret in any sense. They were given fair warning with details!
Therein lies the lesson of never trivializing the known consequences of a forbidden action.
Whilst Adam and Eve were subjected to the curse as a natural effect to the cause of their disobedience (willful, to qualify); it was blatantly evident that they couldn’t actually sustain without the very power that actually enables/activates the curse. The transpiring of the essence of the consequence couldn’t be avoided… however, the manifestation of it could be salvaged, if not avoided entirely… by the same force that can thrust the power for both sustenance and suffering. (Pardon the physics jargon…)
But where am I going with this Lord?!
Are You assuring me that the Force that thrusts the power to spawn out and carry through the consequence in the form of a curse; is the same Force that can & will thrust the power (even more, if I may dare take such a liberty to claim)… to carry us through it all with encompassing tender mercies and grace? Furthermore, has already made provision to redeem us by the undoing of the curse?!
Indeed, the obedience of the Creator, Lord Jesus Christ, God incarnate and His express image; by the force of His reconciling and sacrificial love towards us His creation, has resulted in the provision for the hope of glory unto eternity, and the curse of Death has been thwarted once for all! And in the appointed time, the physical barrier between the dead and the living will cease. What a marvelous moment to look forward to….for Nine, Seven and Three.. in the midst, in spite and in the face of the grief of losing the loved one to Death; for until such time the power of The Holy Spirit will carry us all through in Christ’s saving grace.
Christ is risen, Truly He is risen!
Christ is in our midst, He is and ever shall be!
Glory to God The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit, forever and ever! Amen.
